Are Teenagers Capable Of Making Life-Or-Death Decisions?

On January 9, 2015, Nancy Shute of NPR reported an interview with Dr. Eric Kodish, “a pediatric oncologist who directs the Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Ethics, Humanities and Spiritual Care,” regarding the Connecticut Supreme Court case involving 17-year old Cassandra, a Hodgkin lymphoma patient who is refusing chemotherapy.  Will Cassandra be required by law to undergo treatment?
