Whooping Cough epidemic emerges

 

VACCINATE, VACCINATE, VACCINATE! Many people do not vaccinate for religious and/or moral reasons. Many people who vaccinate also forget to continue the vaccination series after they receive one shot, assuming that they are protected. Health care workers must convey to patients the importance of vaccination and how vaccination can prevent potentially fatal diseases like “whooping cough”, which is transmitted by the bacteria Bordetella pertussis.
