Region V: Keeping Service Alive

Region V encompasses 12 SNMA and 17 MAPS chapters in the Great states of Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. It is my pleasure to bring to you the theme for the 2011-2013 terms: “N. Joy S.E.R.V.I.C.E.”

Our focus is on Service, Empowerment, Revenue, Vision, Innovation, Communication, and Enrichment. As inherent in the national mission of SNMA, my goal as Regional Director, is to ensure that Region V members continue to serve the underserved, empower pre-medical students, and receive enrichment as medical students.

The 2011 Region V ConferenceHealth Care in 3D:  Clinic, Community, Society”, was hosted by the University of Michigan on October 21-23, 2011 in Ann Arbor, MI.  Over 100 members came out to network, serve, and have a great time!  Overwhelming thanks go out to the wonderful co-chairs of the awesome conference:  Erin Strong and Ugochukwu Amadi!
